This strategy is rolling out first on the Dahomey Embayment of Benin, where the prolific West African Transform Margin comes onshore. The precedents set by analogous fields offshore suggest that a comparable onshore accumulation would be very profitable.

Value creation goes hand-in-hand with derisking. In this respect, we can see that the greatest value uplift is to be had early on in the development of projects, but that they must be subject to careful initial scrutiny against the Elephant Oil strategic metrics.
